Lima

Lima, was founded by Francisco Pizarro and was considered the jewel of the Spanish Empire and once the capital and the “City of Kings.” Lima is a mosaic of colonial and modern architecture. A thriving metropolis of museums, galleries, shopping centers and nightlife.

Day 1
Arrival, meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon visit colonial Lima. At the cathedral you can see the remains of the conqueror Pizarro. Later visit beautiful Miraflores and San Isidoro residential areas.

Day 2
This morning you will visit the Gold Museum displaying a dazzling array of gold, silver and copper works from Peru’s many civilizations. (B)

Day 1
Puerto Maldonado - Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado transfer to the Madre de Dios river pier. Board your motor boat for the 45 minute trip to the Reserva Amazonica Jungle Lodge. The lodge is built entirely by the native Indian tribes. After lunch at the lodge, begin your explorations of the Amazon. Dinner and overnight at the Amazon Lodge. (B,L,D)

Cuzco/Machu Picchu

The “Lost City of the Incas”, this is truly one of the wonders of the world. Believed to have been built in the mid-15th century, it was not discovered until 1911 by American explorer Hiram Bingham. Surrounded by a lush cloud forest, the imposing citadel perches on atop a mountain.

Nazca Markings

Puno/Lake Titicaca
