Lima, was founded by Francisco Pizarro and was considered the jewel of the
Spanish Empire and once the capital and the “City of Kings.” Lima is a mosaic of
colonial and modern architecture. A thriving metropolis of museums, galleries,
shopping centers and nightlife.
Day 1
Arrival, meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon
visit colonial Lima. At the cathedral you can see the remains of the conqueror
Pizarro. Later visit beautiful Miraflores and San Isidoro residential areas.
Day 2
This morning you will visit the Gold Museum displaying a dazzling array
of gold, silver and copper works from Peru’s many civilizations. (B)

Puerto Maldonado - Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado transfer to the Madre
de Dios river pier. Board your motor boat for the 45 minute trip to the Reserva

After lunch at the lodge, begin your explorations of the Amazon. Dinner and

Amazon - Guided Amazonian explorations. Your local guide will escort you
for a full day of discovery and adventure including boat rides on the river and
to the Rolin Island (Monkey Island), where six different species of monkeys can

bungalows are connected by covered walkways and, while there is no electricity

Cuzco/Juliaca/Puno - Morning departure from Cuzco by train. Travel
through the high Andes past picturesque villages and spectacular views to
Juliaca. Here you will transfer to a motor coach for the remaining journey to
the Peruvian Border Town of Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. (L)
Day 2
Puno - This morning, tour the floating reed islands of the Uros Indians,
a lake tribe whose unique lifestyle has remained unchanged for thousands of
years. Box lunch is provided. Continue by boat visiting the island of Taquile,
and the Quecha speaking Indians, boasting the world’s finest hand-weaving
