Day 1/Thu Depart USA

Via overnight flight to Istanbul, Turkey.

Day 2/Fri Arrive Istanbul

Arrive at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, where you will be met by our representatives and escorted to your hotel.

Day 3/Sat Istanbul

Depart your hotel for a full day tour. Visit the Hippodrome where chariot races took place during the Roman Period. Proceed to the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia. Later visit the Topkapi Palace, and its treasures. Lunch.  Afternoon visit to the Mosque of Suleyman the Magnificent. Stop at the Grand Bazaar
for shopping. Evening at leisure.

Day 4/Sun Istanbul/Ankara/Cappadocia

Transfer to the airport for your one-hour flight to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey.  Visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum and the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of modern Turkey. Lunch in Ankara.  Then, drive to Cappadocia with its spectacular landscape.

Day 5/Mon Cappadocia

Visit the Citadel of Uchisar, Goreme Valley, Zelve and Avanos. Visit the underground city of Kaymakli or Derinkuyu. Lunch included.

Day 6/Tue Cappadocia/Konya/Pamukkale

Drive to Konya to visit the shrine of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, who inspired the rituals of the “Whirling Dervishes.” Lunch. Continue to Pamukkale, a noted spa. After checking into the hotel, have a swim at the hotel’s pool.

Day 7/Wed Pamukkale/Hierapolis/Aphrodisias/Kusadasi

Visit the ruins of the magnificent Temple of Apollo, the Necropolis and the great baths of Hierapolis. Lunch. Departure for Aphrodisias with its well preserved stadium, agora and an outstanding museum. Drive to Kusadasi.

Day 8/Thu Kusadasi/Ephessos/Kusadasi

Visit the ruins from the period of St. Paul, such as the Odeon, Monumental Fountains, Great Theatre, Double Church and Stadium. Lunch. Visit the Archaeological Museum, the Basilica of St. John and his Tomb, the Temple of Diana and the Shrine of Virgin Mary, where she spent the last years of her
life. Return to Kusadasi for overnight.

Day 9/Fri Kusadasi/Pergamon/Troy/Canakkale

Departure to Pergamon. Visit the Acropolis, Temple of Athena, Dionysus, the Altar of Zeus and Asclepion. Lunch. Continue to  Canakkale in the afternoon. On the way visit Troy, the legendary city of beautiful Helen and the Wooden Horse.

Day 10/Sat Canakkale/Gallipoli/Istanbul

Cross the Dardanelles, visit Anzac Bay and the World War I Memorials. Lunch. Drive to Istanbul. Evening at leisure.

Day 11/Sun Istanbul/USA

Transfer to the airport for your flight to the U.S.A. and home.
