Day 1/Tue Depart
USA
Depart New York via overnight flight to Cairo, Egypt.
Day 2/Wed Cairo
Arrive Cairo airport where you will be met by Tourlite representatives
and escorted to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3/Thu Cairo
Full-day excursion begins with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of
Antiquities.
Continue with visits to the Citadel of Salah El Din, Mohamed Ali Mosque
known as the Alabaster Mosque‚ Sultan Hassan Mosque and the oldest
bazaar of the Middle East, the Khan El Khalili. Lunch included. Continue
with a visit to one of the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx of Giza.
Balance of the day is at leisure.
Day 4/Fri Cairo/Aswan/Kom Ombo/Edfu
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight
to Aswan. Upon arrival transfer to your Nile cruise ship. Today’s
excursion includes a visit to the High Dam and an excursion to the
beautiful Temple of Isis on Philae Island. Lunch on-board. Sail to Kom
Ombo. Visit the Greco-Roman Temple
dedicated to Horus the Sun God and Sobek the Crocodile God. Continue
sailing to Edfu. Dinner on-board and overnight in Edfu.
Day 5/Sat Edfu/Luxor
Breakfast on board. Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu and sail via Esna
Lock to Luxor. Lunch on-board. Dinner on-board and overnight in Luxor.
Day 6/Sun Luxor
Breakfast on-board. Cruise along fields of sugar cane, which line the
West Bank, to see the Twin Colossi of Memnon, the enormous seated
statues that guard the entrance to the Valley of Kings, set in the
Libyan Hills and the
Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Lunch on-board. Afternoon is at
leisure. Dinner on-board and overnight in Luxor.
Day 7/Mon Luxor/Cairo
Breakfast on-board. Disembarkation after breakfast and transfer to the
airport for your flight to Cairo. Arrive in Cairo where you will be met
and transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure in Cairo.
Day 8/Tue Cairo/USA
Transfer to the airport for return flight to the US or to another
optional exiting destination.
